Meet Ashok

For more than two decades, Ashok has been actively involved in community service and civic engagement, bringing people together through faith, service, and shared responsibility. He is guided by the principles of Sanatana Dharma, or Hinduism, which emphasize faith, family, respect for tradition, personal responsibility, and care for others. These values shape his approach to leadership and public service.

Ashok is the owner and operator of Minuteman Press Rochester Hills, where he works daily with local entrepreneurs, nonprofits, schools, and community organizations. As a small-business owner, he understands firsthand the challenges facing Michigan families and employers, including rising costs, burdensome regulations, and workforce shortages. His experience gives him a practical perspective on how decisions made in Lansing directly impact local jobs and small businesses.

Ashok Baddi is a respected community leader, small-business owner, and public servant committed to strengthening families, supporting local businesses, and preserving the values that keep Michigan communities strong.

Originally a Democrat, Ashok chose to leave the party after becoming increasingly frustrated with blind partisanship and a political culture that prioritizes party loyalty over country, community, and common sense. He believes leadership should be guided by principles and results, not political labels, and that elected officials must always put the people they serve first.

He also serves as a board member of the Shirdi Temple in Rochester Hills, a Hindu temple that supports spiritual growth, cultural preservation, and charitable outreach within the community. Through this role, Ashok has helped strengthen community ties and support families across the district.

Ashok is running for State Representative to bring practical leadership, common-sense solutions, and accountable government to Lansing. He is focused on protecting small businesses, supporting working families, defending faith and community values, and ensuring Michigan remains a place where the next generation can build a strong and successful future.
